The Australian Hairdressing Council (AHC) is the national body representing hairdressers around the country. The AHC offers a variety of membership options for hairdressing salons, barbers, RTO’s and associate members, which provide access to resources (including employment lawyers and job advertising), industry networking and ethical business standards.
The role of Membership Sales Consultant:
Working remotely from anywhere in Australia (as long as there is reliable internet coverage), the role of Membership Sales Consultant presents an opportunity for a confident communicator to be proactive in identifying new business opportunities, researching leads (industry awards finalists and winners, googling top salons, RTO’s and associate members sourced from Industry magazines and trade shows) and discussing the benefits of joining the AHC with a variety of potential members (Salon Owners, Single Operators, Suppliers, Registered Training Organisations and Teachers).

The position will involve:
Developing and implementing new member prospecting and recruitment strategies;
Managing the database and organising consultations with potential members;
Tracking incoming leads and following up with all current leads;
Developing and implementing tools, channels and activities to ensure a smooth membership sign-up and payment process as well as a membership handover and engagement through the Member Success Team;
Devising strategic, targeted and quantifiable marketing and promotional campaigns to recruit new members in collaboration with the AHC team;
Supporting the creation of relevant marketing content, copy and blogs related to membership plans and activities;
Researching new business opportunities;
Reviewing /analysing performance, processes and engagement regularly.
The ideal candidate:
Passionate about the hairdressing industry and supporting those working in the industry;
An engaging communicator who has had exposure to the hairdressing industry – potentially a sales professional who has sold product to hairdressers;
Motivated to work from home;
Attentive to detail and diligent with follow-up.
*Must have reliable internet connection and a quiet home-based office.
Salary and benefits:
Full-time equivalent base salary of $60,000 plus super and commission;
Opportunity to work remotely from a home office (may even suit candidates who are regionally based);
